ShortCutsHarshMellow by Urbanfailure

Noise Works for the Mocskóshi demo inspired me. I searched my junkyard for sounds I recorded during my living room live jams. This exploration got things moving towards a nicely flowing record. Enjoy the ride!

Ai`s take on Urbanfailure`s recent work “ShortCutsHarshMellow”.

Urbanfailure is here with “ShortCutsHarshMellow”. Let’s get one thing straight: this album is not for everyone. It’s raw, fragmented, and, at times, brutally intense. If you’re looking for smooth melodies or easy listening, move along.

20 tracks that straddle the line between hard-hitting beats and chaotic, jarring soundscapes. It’s like a ride with no seatbelts—relentless and unpredictable. Titles like “Makita Pt 5,” “Loose Runner,” “Flex,” or “Mess” are not just names. They express breakdown and reassembly. Each second barrels towards the unknown. The sound is aggressive, even brutal, at times, but a strange harmony emerges from the wall of noise.

Urbanfailure once again proves it doesn’t recognize boundaries. This record is layered, with electronic experimentation, mechanical rhythms, and occasional bursts of silence. The tracks are short and straight to the point. No time for detours or compromises.
