Abrasive Electronic Music
  • Two sides of the screen. Nothing on either of them. Venta Protesix releases new album.
Venta Protesix returns with On The Other Side Of The Screen Is Only Emptiness. It is a new album that sharpens and intensifies his signature noise aesthetic. The album is built on extreme contrasts. It features piercing high frequencies, low-end glitch distortion, and deceptively calm passages. These passages quickly collapse into cold static. As a result, the record unfolds as a series of unsettling psychological fractures. Repulsive yet strangely alluring, the album marks a new chapter for Venta Protesix: sleek, destructive, and uncompromising.
  • Dead Janitor’s ‘Post’: Fusion of Organic Soundscapes and not only Post-Punk
The album "Post" marks Dead Janitor's exploration of post-punk, blending organic compositions with repetitive sequences. It signifies a unique musical identity, addressing the challenge of honoring influences without losing originality. The release is scheduled for February 22, 2025, accompanied by a launch event in Bratislava.
  • ShortCutsHarshMellow by Urbanfailure
Noise Works for the Mocskóshi demo inspired me. I searched my junkyard for sounds I recorded during my living room live jams. This exploration got things moving towards a nicely flowing record. Enjoy the ride! Ai`s take on Urbanfailure`s recent work “ShortCutsHarshMellow”. Urbanfailure is here with “ShortCutsHarshMellow”. Let’s get one thing straight: this album is […]
  • Automated Poetry about Uncontrollable Compulsions by Venta Protesix
With each of Venta Protesixes releases, the Italian noise artist shows us new and abhorrent looks into the depths of human (or in this case non-human, but we’ll get to that in a bit) consciousness and his latest release with Urbsounds may be one of his poignant yet. The Album in question is titled “Automated Poetry […]
  • Hypercontrol by Memero
Hypercontrol by Memero, download and cassette Parallel to “chip-core” productions, Memero’s research into single-cycle sample-based synthesis extends into a different and more complex environment: the Renoise tracker. Hypercontrol is an excerpt of the outcome of a unique sound architecture made of handcrafted tools and heavily programmed modulations as well as a mere attempt to create […]

  • Right Diagonal by Mtheorem | Vinyl and digital
Next up on Urbsounds is a varied and robust collection of electronic music from Buenos Aires-based artist MTHEOREM. Right Diagonal’ kicks off with the title track which presents a potent wall of sound that undulates across a pensive current. Distant vocals, frazzled signals and stuttering drum patterns work together to build a fantastically unheimlich vibe. […]
  • 270° by Bartek | Digital + Cass
270° by Bartek. Machine music dedicated to “the lowest form of existence” (according to the first scientific research in 1749) – the sloths! |||||| Specifically to my close friend whose spirit animal is a sloth and also to my tribe Lazy Bastards, who are my best sloths {watch out for pronunciation / not sluts, no} […]
  • Medzičasy by Daniel Kordik | Digital + Cass
The album ‘Medzičasy‘ (which can be translated as ‘moments in between’) is a very personal work which I hope can also be a universal one. It explores those sonic terrains in which loose rhythms, melodies and man-made sounds melt together in one slow-moving sonic environment, intending to work like a snail shell where one can […]
